The  Ukrainian-Russian technopark is created with the following purpose::

Formation of an environment of active collaboration of scientists and entrepreneurs of Ukraine and the Russian Federation with a view to commercialization of scientific developments and creating conditions for accelerated development of high-tech production lines and transformation them into the main driving force of the Slobozhanshchina economic growth .

Specialization of the "Slobozhanschina " Ukrainian-Russian technopark :

Background of the Ukrainian-Russian Technopark creation in the Kharkiv region:

• The high level of competence of the staff of universities, innovation companies and research institutions of the Kharkiv region
• High potential of 300,000 students of Kharkiv, generating innovation ideas and interested in the creation of Start-Up companies
• Support of the Kharkiv initiative to create the Ukrainian-Russian Technopark by Viktor Yanukovych and Dmitry Medvedev the Presidents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation
• Active promotion of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration of the innovative investment model of regional development

Objects of the technopark will be located at the JSC "FED" territory. At the initial stage for the  technopark creation JSC "FED" provides:600 sq.m. office premises and 1400 sq. m. production areas to accommodate there the Center for prototyping and community access to high-tech equipment.

The technopark business model  includes a combination of three types of business processes: property management; investment activity by financial support of innovation projects; provision of a full range of business services in order to minimize non-core activities of innovative companies.

Directions of technopark activity:

• Search of business ideas, technological developments, know-how and innovative projects, the selection of the most promising for realization in the Ukrainian-Russian technopark
• Teams forming for the implementation of innovative projects, including mentors and strategic partners
• Preparation of the   innovation projects  business plans
• Assistance in attraction of initial investments and the creation of Start-Up
• Provision of office premises and laboratory-industrial infrastructure
• Provision of a full range of support services to the innovation companies: from secretarial services and cleaning up to the patent search, accounting and international marketing
• Assistance in attraction of venture capital at the stage of company growth
• Legal protection of intellectual property and owners copyrights
• Provision of technical conditions for the construction by innovation companies their own laboratory and production facilities in the technopark

The organizational form of the Ukrainian-Russian  technopark:

The Ukrainian-Russian  technopark is created in the form of public joint stock company, founded by from Ukrainian side:

• Public Joint Stock Company "FED" - the leader of the commercialization of innovation developments in the field of aviation;
• V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University - one of the oldest universities in Europe;
• Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics - the leading university of Ukraine in the development and implementation of information and communication technologies;
• Municipal Enterprise of the Kharkiv Regional Council "Industrial Park "Rogan", which serves as economic development agency of the Kharkiv region.

By the Russian side the founders of Ukrainian-Russian technopark are:

• Belgorod State University – national research university of the Russian Federation, the largest university of the Belgorod region, which enrolled 32,000 students, about 600 graduate students and doctoral candidates
• Russian industrial and financial groups which expand its international activity.
